Common Field on all projects

Hi Team,

I would like to get your suggestion on this requirement. We need to add two common custom fields on each and every project, we have almost 310 projects, and 850 screens.  If users give the value to those two custom fields on their project while creating the ticket, other teams should not see the value , and only one team wants to see what the value they given the field by using jql, or open the ticket, etc.

Is there any way to add those field directly to display on every project scree, without opening the 850 screens to this field ? and please let me know if you have any other suggestion on this.

Unless I am missing something, only add the field to the screens used by the team that wants to see the field. 

@John Funk We need to add a custom field into all screens (to every single project). If possible only few team members to see the field value.

Why would you need to add it to all screens if only a few team members need to see it?

Also, keep in mind that there is no field level security in Jira. You can't hide the field for some people and not for others. The field is either visible or not. So they only real way to do that is through putting on a screen or not.

This is not going to work the way you think it will.

If you add a field to an issue, then anyone who can see the issue will be able to see the value of that field.

There's no "one team can see this field" functionality.  Permissions are project level (down to issue level if you use issue security) and that's it.

So, for the rest of your question, John is right, you'll need to work through the screens and add the fields to each screen used by a project that wants to use the field.
