Does it exist for an active user with unverified managed account? And why?

Hi guys,

The user status could be invited in Directory -> User and the account status could be unverified in Directory -> Managed accounts. Then what's the exact difference between the two statuses. What information I get currently is:

If org admin invites an email to JSM product, the user will display in the Directory -> user list with the status of invited. If the email has an existing Atlassian account, the status will be removed from this user. If the email hasn't been linked to any Atlassian account, an email will be sent to this email for login (may need to register an Atlasssian account firstly).

As for unverified managed account, it needs to verify this email to be changed to verified. Does it mean that this user needs to use this email to login Atlassian sites (may need to register an Atlasssian account firstly)?

Thanks,

YY哥

Hi @YY Brother

The invite status in Directory -> user list is a status specific to that organisation. After the user visits one of the products in your organisation, their status will change to 'Active'. If the account has access to multiple organisations, their status in each organisation might be different (invited/active/suspended)

The status in the Managed Account list is a global status for that user account. If the user account is unverified, that's the status for the account across all organisations they might have access to. The managed account status could be unverified/active/deactivated/deleted(? I think...). If the status is unverified, then the user needs to login for the first time to make the account status 'active'. They can do this from their 'welcome to Atlassian' email. If they can't find that email; just go to id.atlassian.com and login using your Single Sign On or if they don't have SSO press the reset password button.

Thanks for your reply. So the answer is NOT for my question, right?

You are correct that the user needs to login to your Atlassian site before their 'invited' status changes to 'active'
