Upcoming changes to Jira Align Standard Edition sales

My name is Sapphire Reels and I’ve recently joined Atlassian as Head of Product Marketing for Enterprise Agility & Jira Align.

To focus on the world-class Jira Align experience you deserve, we are simplifying our Jira Align offering and ending the sale of our Jira Align Standard edition as of February 1st, 2024.

Why now?

We're dedicated to enhancing Jira Align continually, ensuring our customers can maximize its capabilities to drive their agile transformations forward.

We're actively streamlining the Jira Align experience, making it more easier than ever to promote the widespread adoption of agile practices and new ways of working. We’ve spent a great deal of time analyzing data and feedback from our product, customers, partners, and analysts—and we've recognized that customers achieve their highest success and extract maximum value from Jira Align by utilizing the extensive capabilities available in the Jira Align Enterprise edition. These capabilities facilitate the transition from project-focused approaches to product-centric and portfolio-level agile practices, such as aligning work with strategic goals, comprehensive reporting on product and organizational structures, and more.

Recognizing this, we're consolidating our product offerings to ensure the best possible experience for both current and future customers. This strategic move will enable us to focus on advancing performance, reliability, and innovation. Recent releases, including improved navigation, forecast by feature, enhanced capacity management, the introduction of OKR Hub, Jira Connector APIs, enhancements to Atlassian's VSM solution, and more, showcase our commitment to these advancements.

What’s happening and when?

• On January 9th, Jira Align Standard edition pricing will be removed from the Jira Align pricing page.

• Net new sales of Jira Align Standard edition will be possible if you are in active conversations with an Atlassian account team by February 1st, 2024. If you enter into an active conversation after that date, you’ll be offered our Enterprise edition to ensure the best Jira Align experience.

What happens if I’m an existing Jira Align Standard edition customer or in talks to purchase the Standard edition?

• Existing Jira Align Standard Customers

  • We will continue to provide our commitment to support your Jira Align Standard offering through the end of your contract.

  • Once the contract has expired, rather than renewing your existing Standard contract, your account team will work with you to identify the best option and edition for your needs.

• Existing Jira Align Standard Prospects currently in active conversations with sales by February 1st, 2024

  • You will be able to purchase Jira Align Standard after February 1st, 2024.

  • Once your contract has expired, the process outlined above for existing Jira Align Standard customers will apply—once the contract has expired, rather than renewing your existing Standard contract, your account team will work with you to identify the best option and edition for your needs.
