The Workday Integration BETA has begun!

From today, we have begun the rollout of Workday Integration in Jira Service Management. Workday Integration can be used to streamline onboarding and enable seamless processes for HR teams and employees alike. You can choose to create an automation rule with a Workday trigger or action (or both). When used together, the Workday trigger and action will give you access to 32 worker fields! 1ļøāƒ£ Worker added to Workday Trigger

The Worker added to Workday trigger runs when a new worker has been added in your Workday instance. This can be useful for initiating an onboarding process for new hires by triggering workflows, sending welcome emails, and collaborating with other teams.

 

2ļøāƒ£ Retrieve worker details from Workday Action

4b41dda0-bfb5-42ea-8097-ed2c702c03fe.pngThe Retrieve worker details from Workday action allows you to retrieve certain details about an employee from Workday to use in your Jira project. This can be useful for streamlining your onboarding process and gathering employee details when resolving a query.

Note: This feature will be available for Premium and Enterprise Jira Service Management customers.

1ļøāƒ£ Will there be any pre-built templates for common onboarding workflows, or will users need to build them from scratch?
2ļøāƒ£ Are there plans to expand the integration beyond onboarding, like offboarding or employee status changes?

Absolutely! We are planning to add automation templates to help our users get started and share best practices. Please feel free to share any ideas about templates and use cases!

2ļøāƒ£ Are there plans to expand the integration beyond onboarding, like offboarding or employee status changes? 

Answer:Yes! We started with onboarding as it's one of the most common HR use case, but we won't stop there! Please share what other use cases you have in mind and where they sit in priority, and we will take that feedback into consideration!

Itā€™s great to hear that automation templates are in the works! Iā€™ll brainstorm some ideas and share use cases that could be helpful for the community. Templates can really speed up adoption, especially for teams new to automation.

Expanding to offboarding and employee status changes sounds fantastic! Offboarding workflows are often overlooked but are crucial for maintaining security and compliance.
