Hello everybody.
I'm trying to setup auto issue creation via email following this guide:
Unfortunately the incoming mail handler create/edit form seems to not store any value I try to set in "default reporter". Maybe releated I also cannot get any autosuggestion for Users in the project when starting to type the user name.
I tried the username (with @ and without) and the actual name of the profile in different variations and for various users (all with create issue and create comment permissions).
Am I doing something wrong or is this a Bug in Jira Cloud?
Thanks for your help, regards,
Paul
Welcome to community!
In cloud, you might be seeing the account id instead of the username.
See https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/how-to-find-accountid/qaq-p/1111436 on how to get the id of an account to set
Can you login as that user and verify that the user has permission to create and comment on the project?
I see you have mentioned above.. but just want to reverify as that is the most probable cause

yes I already tried. The account I wanted to assign as default reporter is the one from the project leader - it already was already used to create a lot of tickets and to comment in a lot of them, too... So on I tried with different other accounts so I'm pretty confident that permissions are not the problem here.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately using the (uu)id of an user in the "default reporter" field does'nt work either.
