Why is my X-axis with week numbers turned into decimal numbers instead?

Torkil Sinkaberg Johnsen March 20, 2020

I am trying to build a graph from a data table.

Table data looks like this:

WeekNum | Count
---------------
2019-01 | 15
2019-02 | 35
2019-03 | 32
...
2020-12 | 87

Now I want to create a line chart for this table. I am using the "Chart from Table" macro.

I use the Count on the Y-axis and the WeekNum on the X-axis.

Problem is that the chart summarizes the numbers for 2019 and 2020, so my line graph has only two data points, 2019 and 2020, with the count sum for each of the years, while I want to display the graph week-by-week.

The X-axis also shows just 2019; 2019,1; 2019,2 ... 2019,9; 2020, as decimal numbers, instead of the weeks I want. There are only data points on 2019 and 2020 though.

X-axis looks like this:

graph.PNG

If I use a column chart, the X-axis labels are correct: 2019-01, 2019-02 ... 2020-12, but not with the line chart.

Why is this?

Needed to use the Time Line graph, and not the Line graph.

Have not been able to make this work with week numbers yet though, perhaps my Confluence version is too old?

The date format should be yy-ww. Please, try to update the Table Filter and Charts app in your COnfluence instance.
