User mentions not working anymore

skwal8r April 1, 2019 edited

Recently changed the following and now notice that user mentions no longer work.

- Upgraded 6.12.1 to 6.15.1

- Moved user directly to Crowd server.

I have tried deleting and rebuilding indexes.

Typing @ does nothing at all, same for all users.

Trying to add user mention macro get message.

"No macro metadata

There is no metadata configured for this macro which means no configuration screen can be presented here.

If this is a user macro then you can add metadata to the template using the User Macro Administration  console."

Any ideas?

Hi @skwal8r ,

Have you tried building search index as well? - try this

{base url} /admin/search-indexes.action  and building the index

If that doesn't work try the steps as mentioned in the KB - https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-rebuild-the-content-indexes-from-scratch-on-confluence-server-110035351.html

Let us know what the results are

@Sid yes i have tried all that.

It seems as if there is something wrong with the macro/plugin for mentions and due date.

It does show on the mentions plugin as active on the System info page though.

perhaps similar to this issue reported https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/User-mention-nor-date-picker-works-anymore/qaq-p/819016

though doesn't say how it was resolved.
