We have serverside installation of confluence 6.7.1
A collague told me, that user-mention nor date-picker ist working anymore.
As far as i know, some days ago, both features worked fine. No updates where done. I restartet confluence server (but not the database).
I also rebuilt the search-Index with no result.
Any ideay?
thanks a lot
markus
Hi Markus,
What about flushing the Entries and then running an indexing?
thanks for suggestion - what I did (i have german version - so menues are translated):
1.) admin - cache administration - on the right bottom "clear cache"
2.) content indexing - rebuild
but user-mention @ doesnt work nor date-picker //
both functions are pretty convenient - so we really miss them...
thx again
markus

@Markus HolzerAre you getting the same behavior in different browsers?
Did you check the logs for any errors? What change did you make in Confluence recently (configuration/Plugin)?

@Fadouathis feature doesnt work on all browsers.
Logs: I checked Aapche Log as well as ConfluenceLogs - no entries at all. to be honorest: iám not sure, whiche logs to check exactly?
What I changed couple of days ago: i activated Confluence HTML Macros for using user-defined-html-macros. Maybe thats the reason?
Do somebody know on what user-mention and date-picker features depends on? Any special activations of System-modules?
Maybe I disabled one by fault!
thanks again

one more info: the macro "user mention" is not available at all!
is there a system-Macro which is maybe inactive and depends on "user-mention"??

I apologize for not getting back to you earlier I am on PTO.
The logs you should be checking is: atlassian-confluence.log
If you have a test environment with the same configuration than Production. Try to disable HTML macros and see what will happen
System Add-ons should never be changed except if you were told to do so by an Atlassian expert.
Was "User Mention" ever working? If not then there is a problem.
Please let me know how it goes.

THX again for your reply.
The macro worked perfect since last Week - i am almost sure it depends on the activation oft HTML macro.
However - i disabled HTML macro in the meahnwhile - but with no success!
I am getting crazy...

Did you run a search indexing again after disabling the plugin?
Let me know how it goes, I am going to remain connected for couple minutes.

Any luck @Markus Holzer? Running the indexing after installing/uninstalling a plugin should be done everytime.

Hi,
I was on holidays last days... sorry for no answers...
thanks again for your feedback --> @Shannon S gave me the correct hint:
1.) add-on "user mention" was DEACTIVATED
2.) add-on "inline comments" was DEACTIVATED
I have no idea why both add-ons were deactived! I 100% didnt do that!
maybe after an Update?
However - no its working fine again!
thanks,
markus
