Prevent Inserted images from the web

We have a problem in our organization in which people make how-to articles pasting images from the web browser (e.g. webmail).

Those images get treated as 'Images from the web'. Then those images expire and become broken links.

We would like one of the following:

A) Have Confluence import and automatically convert images from the web to attached images.

B) Disable images from the web to our users

C) Warn the user when pasting images

We have cloud confluence but we have the same question for self hosted confluence.

Dear @Francisco De Zuviria,

for A) Trigger a cron job, that regularly scans all pages for those external links and replaces them with real content - best done with the API.

for B) This Link describes how to deactivate - but didn't work for me - probably outdated.

for C) This warning feature has to be done by Confluence - so Atlassian needs to implement.

Hi Thomas, I'm back:

A) Any guide out there on doing this?

If there is not, at least can the cron job fire an email to the user's account with the warning so the user can fix it?

A) This means coding a script or app that does the job. Do you have coding skills? And which language? If not, probably ask someone (some professional services) who could do, but this will not be for free.
