Hi @Noe Masis

It sounds like your Synchrony service has taken a header for some reason in your instance. Go to the Administration -> General Configuration -> Collaborative editing section. If it's happy (which I suspect it's not) you'll see a happy green "Running" lozenge there.

Things to check; make sure there aren't any changes to any proxy server in front of Confluence. Also check to see if a happy sec admin decided that "Confluence is on 8090 so that's all that can be open" as Synchrony runs on 8091 (defaults).

Sometimes you can get it back by clicking the "Restart Synchrony" button in that admin screen assuming nothing changed in your environment.

I restarted the service both saying running and all happy.

I continue to receive the same error.

Hi @Noe Masis

It starts to feel like there was a change in a proxy/firewall/something. A shot in the dark, try to edit a page from an incognito browser window and see what you get.

Noe Masis August 27, 2019

Issue started yesterday but nothing changed on the on prem server network. I tried from incognito mode but same thing.

Is there any logs that can tell me exactly what it is?

Did you have a look in $CONF_HOME/logs/atlassian-synchrony.log? That might have some clues...

A "hail mary" approach also might be to stop Confluence, clear the plugin cache, and restart... I know it's rather a "Windoze" way of doing things but when all else failed and I ran out of patience trying to fix in place, that was a repairation...
