Hi, Is there a way to achieve the following please...
I have an excel tracker, I need to retain it in Excel for the formula, formatting, functionality built in that comes with Excel, but I would really like to be able to display a tab or snapshot of that excel via a pane in a Confluence page.
So, I'd maintain and update the tracker directly into Excel but the Confluence page would be liked and so would refresh just like a Jira filter list or macro would for example.
Please let me know if this should be possible and how to do it,
Thanks in advance
Hey @Helen Snowball!
Unfortunately, this functionality is not provided out of the box.. you would want to explore 3rd party plugins to achieve this behaviour.
One option you might want to check out is Excel-Like Tables for Confluence. It’s a plugin that lets your team work with spreadsheets directly in your Confluence pages. You can use formulas, formatting, and all the usual Excel features without dealing with external permissions.
We recently introduce the Jira Issue Sheets feature. If you’re working with Jira issues for monitoring or reporting, you can pull the data straight into your spreadsheet. Plus, it can auto-refresh whenever the page loads, so you always have the latest info without lifting a finger.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you’ve got any questions.
Regards
KD
What works for me is using an iframe macro to embed a Google Sheets document.
Of course, it helps your Confluence and Google environments are under one SAML SSO scheme.
But whoever looks at the page, they can see the latest version of the spreadsheet.

Of course, the sheets needs have sharing enabled but you can limit that to people within your org.
This method also opens opportunities to embed Google Slides presentations in a nice format. More on this in my community article.

Hi @Helen Snowball ,
We can suggest trying the app that we develop - Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence.
You'll have two options:
If you are not familiar with the app, please book a call with the team - we'll show you the use case live.

I don't think such functionality is available out of the box as the teams integration doesn't include file sharing and embedding office documents into Confluence.
You might need to look into the marketplace to find the right third party apps if the files is stored in Cloud, such as OneDrive. Example:
Hope it helps.

Thank you for your response, I feared it didn't exist but wanted to check in the hope I had missed a recent development. I'll look at the 3rd party apps as suggested.
Kind Regards
