Is the feature of Confluence whiteboards only available in the cloud hosting?

Hello!

I found an announcement about the availability of Confluence whiteboards for all customers: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/Confluence-whiteboards-have-officially-arrived/ba-p/2639563

Just to clarify: It's only available via cloud hosting, right?

Could someone more authoritative confirm this.

Yes, Its only available on cloud.  However, I wouldn't consider my answer any more authoritative than what you have already found.
