How do I create a page in Confluence so that it automatically integrates into JIRA?

Arthur Fidas August 3, 2017

What I am trying to do is to get user stories written in Confluence and then load them up in Jira. Unfortunately, only the title of the story seems to be transferred to JIRA, but none of the content. These are the steps I've taken.

  1. Created a page in Confluence using the Product template
  2. Entered a user story
  3. Saved the page
  4. Highlighted the user story
  5. Selected the Jira icon
  6. Selected “Create”
  7. The Jira issue is created, but only brings over the Title

How can I make it so that the story is sent over to JIRA as well? Am I missing a step? Is there a better way to do this? Please help!

I couldn't do it either until I chose the Create multiple issues from table option - then it lets you associate the Description in JIRA with the User Story in the table in Confluence.

@AnnWorley I'm having trouble trying to get my user stories from Confluence to load in JIRA. Only the Title of the page transfers over but nothing else. Any idea why this might be happening? I've already looked at through this links and it seems like I followed the right process but it's not working for some reason.
