How can I paste multiple Jira issues into a confluence page and expand via Jira Issue Macro?

I know that I can paste one Jira issue link into a confluence page and it will be automatically converted into a Jira Issue Macro object that shows the issue title and status, etc.

I would like to be able to paste many such issues at one time and have them all expanded. However it seems that when I paste multiple issues, nothing happens?  Is there some kind of markup that will make this work?

You could try using the JIRA macro with a JQL that works for showing all of your issues, and in the display options you can configure what fields you want to show :)

Hi @Andrea Mendez, thanks for the response.  This is not a set of Jira issues that can be retrieved via JQL though, so it needs to work via copy and paste.

I have a table in Excel with each Jira URL in one of the columns. When I paste into Confluence it creates a confluence table but does not convert any of the Jira URLs into a Jira Macro. I have hundreds of these so doing this manually isn't practical.

I know I can create a JQL filter but then I can't add my own custom columns for which I have many (i.e., containing data that is not within the Jira item itself).

Any ideas on how this could be accomplished?

Hi @Robert LoPinto ,

We can suggest using our app - Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.

The add-on provides the Table Transformer macro that can be used to add manually created columns for notes to your Jira Issues macro. Please check this thread (second part) for more details.

I'm looking for a solution to this as well.
