Floating window

Is there a way to display a video or a picture in a floating overlay window?

Similar to how app demo videos are displayed when you're in the "Find New Apps" page and you expand some app and click on the screenshots or the demo video.

These get displayed in an overlay floating window, without leaving the current page.

Any help would be appreciated.
