Can't edit default space

martonMeszaros October 23, 2019

Hi,

I recently created a confluence could site with the free plan.
In the process of setting up, it asked me to create a space, which I did.

After the site is set up, I can't edit the settings of the space, nor can I delete it.

From what I read, as the creator of the space, I should have admin privilege and be able to modify it.

In the page settings the only administrators noted are: Confluence Analytics, Former user, Chat Notifications.

Does anybody know how to get around this? Thanks.

Hi,

There is unfortunately a bug with the permissions of spaces in free tier instances, and Atlassian Team is working on it. That's why you are not able to edit that space right now.

Please, see the answer of Daniel below: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-Cloud-questions/Can-t-work-with-or-delete-space-created-during-onboarding-flow/qaq-p/1205497#M1049

I hope this will help! :)

Have a nice day!
Boris
