In my documentation process, I have an automation rule for page ownership changes as trigger, that sends an email to the new owner providing some more information concerning this role in the process, with links to the documentation manual etc.

In this context it would be good to be able to turn off the standard notification sent by Confluence, as two mails is one too much!

Very glad to have this feature @Tiffany Chung In the Enterprise version I'm able to bulk transfer ownership. However, users are complaining about the mass of notification emails they receive when they become an owner. Is there any way to disable the change ownership notification emails? Or consolidate them into a single email for each bulk ownership change action?

The page owner functionality is noise to us.

Documentation is a team effort. We don't have individuals owning pages specifically. Ownership labels imply more than I want. Forcing us to have individual ownership goes against our practice, and is very irritating to me.

Creating a page meaning you take ownership of it may also be a barrier to some people. There is value in documenting findings in a best-effort basis. That doesn't mean they should take ownership of that part of the documentation. Those more knowledgeable or working on that part the next time should improve the documentation. The owner no longer has anything to do with it - at least not any more obligation than any other team member.

When a member leaves my team, am I supposed to go through all their "owned" pages and assign someone else? That's not viable.

Even if we assign someone responsible for a projects documentation, or sections of documentation, managing that on an individual page basis is not feasible.
