Say hello to new Atlassian Intelligence features in Confluence!

👋 Hi Confluence community!

Over the last few quarters, we introduced many Confluence AI features to help elevate your team’s collaboration and productivity. And we unveiled several upcoming features at Team Europe last week. 🎉 (If you missed it, check out the on demand library here)

Keep reading to discover the Confluence AI features coming your way, and let us know which feature you’re most excited about in the comments!

AI in whiteboards:

Confluence whiteboards is a powerful tool for brainstorming. We are so excited to introduce the upgraded Confluence Whiteboards powered by Atlassian Intelligence. These new features will elevate your brainstorming sessions, taking your productivity and efficiency to the next level.

  • Generate stickies (coming soon)39c79dcf-ceb2-49a5-8943-bbd8f05553a9.pngb6c6f8d1-4dfe-48c4-8709-f45eb04d912e.png

Oftentimes, getting started is the hardest part of a brainstorming session. Now, you can start with a single idea, and have Atlassian Intelligence generate similar ideas based on the first. In addition, you can also have AI provide recommendations based on relevant data from Confluence, Jira, and JSM.

  • Clustering stickies (coming soon)8c2ad83f-80df-4fb8-a12d-3c016e8145d2.png000b491b-9d52-4c99-ad66-5a94ff43d0a5.png

Once all your team's brilliant ideas are displayed on your whiteboard, you can now ask Atlassian Intelligence to group similar ideas together. Instead of manually reviewing and categorizing the stickies on the board, you can delegate the task to AI and focus on essential tasks.

  • Summarize whiteboards (coming soon)

Instead of appointing a facilitator to read through all the ideas on the board and summarize them, you now have the option to use Atlassian Intelligence. This feature offers a prompt, clear, and concise summary of your entire whiteboard. Additionally, you can convert this summary into a written Confluence page using AI, enabling you to kickstart progress on your project.

AI work creation:

By combining Atlassian Intelligence with seamless integration between Confluence and Jira, you no longer have to worry about tab-switching and create Jira tasks directly from your Confluence page.

  • Confluence to Jira

    • Single create (available now): Highlight a specific text from your Confluence page and let AI create a new Jira task based on your selection.

  • Bulk create (coming soon): Later this year, Atlassian Intelligence will be able to scan your entire Confluence page to create multiple Jira tasks, replacing manual task creation with intelligent automation.

AI page catch up:

With Atlassian Intelligence, staying on top of your work has never been easier!

  • Summarize changes: Returning to a page and curious about the latest updates made by your teammates? This new feature provides a convenient summary of all the changes on a page since your last visit. You can also read more about this feature in our previous community post.

  • Summarize comments: Don’t have time to read through all the comments? Don’t worry - use Atlassian Intelligence to quickly review, summarize, and analyze the sentiments of both inline and page-level comments to determine your next steps.

Whilst I'm sure this new feature is fantastic... what I and many other customers would prefer would be that you concentrate on fixing all the useful functionality that went away when you killed off the "legacy" editor.. e.g. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-65749
