Compass receiving OpsGenie Alerts

Regarding Compass OpsGenie integration,  right now it seems only Opsgenie 'Incidents' feed into Compass.  Are there any plans for Compass to automatically receive 'Alerts' from OpsGenie?

 

I would like to be able to create a metric from OpsGenie alerts for my software components without having to roll my own code.  

That metric would ideally count the number of Alerts being raised for 'My API' .   then setup a scorecard based off that metric.

My name is Vinicius and I'm with the Compass support team!

First I'd like to apologize for the delay on the answers as we're now getting to the older community question that are unanswered.

Now, to your point: currently there are no plans to include these as metrics for the Compass <> OpsGenie integration early access program, but this is something the team is looking into for further forward. There are some updates on derived metrics that are still under development that will allow us to work better with this type of scenario without the need to use the API directly.

I have also shared your use-case with our product team, so they've added it as a suggestion for future releases! :)

Hi @Andrew Fraser - you can now directly create alerts and on-call schedules in Compass. See our announcement in that regard. We are rolling this more broadly in the next few weeks.
