Can we have Team Level App Passwords? Edited

What I'm trying to accomplish:

Update team pipeline environment variables via the API every 12 hours.

Why I don't want to use API Key:

  • Looks like it may be depricated soon
  • Would be nice if there was a way to document where it is being used. Or better a listing of the last X number of calls to the API that used it.
  • Way too permissive

Why I don't want to use an App Password (but will for now):

Any clarity, advice or discussion is greatly appreciated. If there is a more correct way to accomplish this then please advise. Thanks!
