We wanted to exclude particular people [Higher Management] from getting notification from project

Hello There,

Hope you guys doing well.

Actually We have requirement to implement solution that should exclude people from higher management to get Jira notifications any of the form regardless of they are assignee or reporter or any way they engage in ticket.

We plan to implement with Jira automations however we are on jira standard plan already there are some automations running.

is there any way we can achieve without investing much budget preferred free solutions out of the box.

To be clear Automation rules cannot prevent the sending of Notifications. To prevent sending of Notifications you have to change the Notification configuration(s) for the project(s).

How did you plan to use Automation Rules to achieve your goal?

We testing the plugins. The goal is that users in a specific role do not get any notifications from a project

Appreciate your time and support.

We were planning to utilize automation, completely discard the notification scheme for project.

Create automations rules per standard event in jira before sending email we can check if assignee belongs to certain project role, if it is then don't send email.

However this will trigger lot of automations and exhaust automation limit.

we are evaluating apps as well.
