JIRA Automation - Create tasks / subtasks when a story is created

I'm currently using the Issue created trigger, but I want to just create the tasks under issue type: story, not any other issue type. Does anyone know how to configure JIRA to only run the trigger on one issue type, not all?

Hi.

There is no way to limit rule execution base on issue type.

You can run it everytime and limit it by "if block" statement.

Issue fields condition:

  • Field: issue type
  • Condition: Equals
  • Value: Story
