Maybe our Service Desk instance doesn't have all the automation options, but I can't figure out how to notify a user when an issue Component is changed to a specific value, or when the issue Type is changed to a specific value. I don't want to start with "Issue Created", as our issues start with a different value than they'll have eventually.
For example, I would like to notify User A when the issue Component is changed to "Programmatic." I would like to notify User B when the issue Type is changed to "Data Request." I can't for the life of me figure out how this is possible, assuming it is. Any help would be appreciated! We're running Jira Service Desk v8.22.4 on our own servers, not connected to the Internet in any way.
You can't do this without an Automation or Scripting app that can pick up "issue edit" and look at a field to decide who to notify.
