Is there a way using power scripts to change JSM project settings?

I have a case where when we create new JSM projects there are a certain set of settings, automation settings, request types, components, etc that we want to be the same initially for every project created. But, our desired values don't match the project templates provided by Atlassian for us to choose from. Is there either a way I can change the settings of one of the provided templates or by using Powerscripts change project settings like these after the project has been created? I've looked around without any luck other than getting a 3rd party addon. I'm running Data Center. Thanks for any help on this!

Regards,

Jay
