Can I update the description field using an automation without clearing it?

Hi,

I would like to set up an automation which generates a subtask. I would like the subtask to copy the description from the parent issue however I want to change some of the wording in the subtask. The parents issue contains text and a table in the description. Ideally I want the subtask to have different text but copy the table from the parent. Is this possible?

Hi Shanara,

Unless you can figure out a way to substring out just the table, you are not going to be able to copy just part of the field.
