Can I set the Status of an Issue based on a Subtask's Status?

Edited

I have an issue with the following statuses: Open, IA, IB and Closed

Status IA creates a Subtask (with statuses Open, STA, Closed)

When the Subtask reaches STA, can I automatically set the Issue to status IB?

I was hoping to achieve this with a rule, please let me know if this would be possible.

We also have ScriptRunner installed, if the rule option is not feasible.

Hi @Jacques B ,

As far as I got your requirement right this is possible with an automation rule.

  • given (trigger)
    • issue is transitioned to STA
  • when (condition)
    • issue type = subtask
  • then
    • branach for parent
    • transition issue to IB

Let´s give it a shot and let me know if you have any further questions.

Best
Stefan

Thank you @Stefan Salzl , I shall give this a try! Much appreciated.
