ProForma Migration

Christian Diaz March 28, 2022

Hey everyone, was curious to see what other companies have done to migrate both Forms and Form data to Jira Cloud. The documentation isn't super specific and our Cloud MIgration Managed provided some info that seemed be a bit conflicting. She advised we could only migrate form data with the Jira SIte Import tool, which is now being actively disabled this week for various tenant sizes. The documentation seems to reference the migration tool, but does say that we need to contact support to update an internal key after the migration. We're assuming updating that internal key would break forms on Jira Server, so we're a bit hesitant to play with it too much in the cloud sandbox.

At the end of the day, we can remake forms in cloud but not all of our forms automatically attach a PDF, so legacy data may be lost.

Curious how other migrations handled this or if anybody has further info on Proforma using the JCMA.

Hi @Christian Diaz

The ability to migrate ProForma forms and data from Server or Data Center to Cloud is not yet ready. I can't provide a timeline at the moment, but we will provide updates when this can be delivered.

If you haven't already, you can join the Forms Group here on Community. I'll publish updates like migration support there.
