New cloud migration template for you 🎁

Ever plan a party, but details get buried in the group chat?

While a few guests misunderstanding the theme as “beach party” instead of “black tie” might make for a good laugh, the stakes are just a little bit higher when it comes to your organization’s cloud migration plans.

Why risk key details getting lost in emails and chats to your colleagues?

Keep everyone in the loop with a simple, well-organized Migration Hub!

Inspired by a real customer, the Migration Hub template below can help you facilitate a smoother migration experience. By linking all internal outreaches* to this central hub, your teams will have the information they need – even after your messages get buried.

*Want to save even more time? We made you a few migration outreach templates so you don't have to start from scratch.

Take a few minutes to customize the Cloud Migration Hub template for yourself.

The template

This template is focused on a Jira Software cloud migration. Depending on the scope and complexity of your migration, you can adapt it to your organization’s needs. Migrating other Atlassian products? Check out these templates:

Where do your teams typically look for internal information? That’s likely the best place to build your migration hub.

Naturally, we’re partial to Confluence. Follow the instructions below to build a Confluence page – or adapt them to your chosen medium.

  1. Create a new Confluence page in your Server/Data Center instance.
  2. Give your new page a snazzy title. Here are some ideas:
    • Cloud Migration Hub: Jira Software
    • Jira Software Cloud Migration Hub
  3. Copy + paste the template below into your new page.
    • If needed, change the table settings from Fixed Width to Responsive.
  4. Remove any irrelevant sections.
  5. Replace all italicized/bolded text with your own details.
  6. Publish your page. Be sure the right teams have access to view it!
  7. Link all your internal outreaches to your new Cloud Migration Hub.
  8. Sit back and appreciate all the repeat questions you just saved yourself.
