How is the license from external users handeled?

Hello,

I have a project and I want to invite external user, which also has Atlassian/Jira license -->

• do I have to pay for this external user?
• has the external user to pay for this user, even when he is only working in the external project?
• do both company have to pay for the user?

Hi @Patrick Schachner [engel] , 

billing is done on a site level, so if you grant access to your site for a user to access Jira, then he'll increase your bill. It doesn't matter if he is already paying a Jira license for another site.

So in your case, both companies will pay for this user.

thank you for your fast reply.
It helps, but from my point of view it's kind of "rude" to do so.

If both companies use the cloud version, you have to pay twice for a user, just to use this collaboration tool...
