I am being tasked with merging 1 Cloud instance into another Cloud instance. My plan is to utilize the "Migrate Cloud Site..." feature. The users existing in the source instance have a different e-mail address than what they will have within the destination instance.

Is there any way to map the users so that they don't lose the connections to the issues they've reported or are assigned to?

Follow-up question: Any other "got ya's" I should be aware of before embarking on this migration journey?

I migrated some users that didn't have the same email address and I used "Bulk edit" to reassign their issues to their new account. I didn't find better solution at that time.
