Hello,
My organisation uses Confluence & Jira. We are looking at implementing single sign, we recently verified our domain and the next step is to take ownership of accounts. It seems we have a number of people using Trello and don't really have oversight of these accounts within the portal. Can you please advise the implications of taking ownership of all atlassian accounts?
Hi @S Gregg welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Here are some resources:
thanks very much for the information. Given we don't currently manage Trello and users seem to have signed up for individual team boards, what would be the impact I cannot see anything about that?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
With managed accounts, you'll get an overview of which users are using Trello with their work e-mail address (claimed domain).
You can ask users to transfer their boards to a private account.

If we have multiple users from different teams having free boards, when we take ownership of the accounts and domain what will the impact be on our overall costs?

When claiming a domain, you will take ownership of the managed accounts (only the account on your claimed e-mail domain). You can either move them to a non-billable policy (where you don't pay for a user license for Atlassian Access). The downside is that you cannot enforce SSO or MFA for these users.
Or you keep them in the billable policy which allows you to enforce SSO or MFA, but in that case, these users will take a license seat for Atlassian Access.

Thanks for the information, just to summarise if we take ownership of the accounts, the free trello accounts will have no way to enforce sso/mfa unless we move them to paid versions, however for confluence & Jira we'd be able to set up SSO.
