Happy Monday, everyone!
On the 14th of July (Jira Admin Appreciation Day), I discovered the Jira July ’23 challenge and had so much fun last week participating in it with my contributions. I’m writing this discussion listening (or better to say jamming) to Jira Jams playlist - which is x2 fantastic as it is composed by me and fellow Atlassian Community members. Bonus points for this: I seized the opportunity to add Taylor Swift’s New Romantics song to the playlist.
Besides, when would I have an opportunity to reimagine Collaboration, Teamwork, and Atlassian Products & Platforms as riddles or starting soccer line-ups - all within one workweek? And I finally joined the kudos. Gamification elements, recognition, celebration, and appreciation are a thing!
This whole week allowed me to reflect on many things and appreciate the opportunities to be part of the community, contribute to it and seize the day with creativity and curiosity (which is a must for the line-up creation and the riddle cup, right?)
The best takeaway for me, or the highlight of this experience, is the importance of community, collaboration, and teamwork - from as many diverse perspectives and angles as possible. And Atlassian Community, with its hub for discussions, knowledge sharing, and support related to Atlassian products, is perfect for engagement and boosting those things in the best possible ways.
Jira July ’23 fosters an environment of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and recognition and encourages active engagement in very creative ways, which allows members to showcase their expertise, learn from others, and leverage creativity skills (like haiku writing or proficiency with Canva or Figma for the Line-Up) - and the great thing is - the comment section under each discussion/article is even more remarkable as it (hopefully) sounds here thanks to vibrant community contributions by the Community Members.
Those challenges are vital in creating a thriving community and adding value to our development as Atlassian Tools users. Here's what I especially liked about the last week:
Long Story Short
I had the best time being part of Jira July ’23, and I highly encourage the community to check out the related activities, reflect on them, and share & discuss your highlights here in the comments.
What about Jira July ’23 challenges you liked the most?Maybe Community appreciation? Or Appreciation of Jira admins and other Atlassian Platforms and Products? What challenges did you enjoy the most? Either way, I am excited to hear how’s Jira July ’23 going!
Have a lovely day!
With kind regards,
Anastasia
