From zero articles in the community in the last eight years to my third in two weeks: Here you can find the first article featuring the origin of Dashboard Hub and here the Apptoberfest Demo. And the news couldn't be happier for us, our beloved Dashboard Hub is now available for Data Center instances (Jira and Confluence). Thanks to our recent incorporation to the Appfire family, we've been able to speed up this process. I want to thank everyone, but specially to my colleague Javier who's been working non-stop the last weeks and Shankar who has helped Javier with all the performance testing and improvements.
The wait is over, Data Center is here!
Teams need to see, analyse and understand the data to take actions and get better results. That's why dashboards exist. And here teams, especially enterprise teams, cannot rely on "Swiss army knife" gadgets with complex configurations. Not everyone has the technical background nor the time to learn how to configure yet another gadget. Focus on the what, not on the how of reporting. Dashboard Hub for Jira/Confluence provide pre-defined dashboard templates and a collection of more than 60 preset metrics to visualize and report on ITSM, DevOps, and Agile data. And those who need more custom graphs and metrics can use a JQL Custom Charts gadget to reach more niche visualizations.
Dashboard Hub provides integrations with all the products in the Atlassian suite, including Jira Software, Jira Work Management, Jira Service Management, Statuspage, Opsgenie, Insight, Confluence, and Bitbucket. And we have several additional planned integrations with third-party apps and products like DEISER's Projectrak, Tempo, SoftwarePlant's BigPicture, GitHub, and ServiceNow. We make sure none of your teams miss important metrics and key indicators.
For those organizations that are in their journey to cloud, or due to their growth have instances in different hosting platforms, hybrid dashboards offer the perfect solution. Some companies are taking advantage of the benefits of different types of hosting:
Key data can be behind their own firewalls in data center instances for increased security. Also, regulatory requirements for compliance can be met.
Cloud instances can support environments where scalability is on demand, new features to improve processes are available or sometimes due to costs concerns.
A Hybrid Dashboard displays data from server, data center and/or cloud instances in one dashboard.
Many companies rely on different Jira and/or Confluence instances for their projects or daily operations. Sometimes due to joint projects with other organisations, other times due to a quick growth pace. In these situations, it's key for the normal development of projects to have all the project related information in a single point of truth, an information radiator. With this in mind, Dashboard Hub allows teams to display information from different instances in the very same dashboard! No more hassle exporting data to a spreadsheet or juggling with different tabs to see the big picture.
We -companies- keep information under different access levels for several reasons, in general there is no need for everyone to access everything. But hey, sometimes we need to share specific pieces of information, reports, summaries or important indicators. And other times, even with stakeholders outside our corporate borders. Do you provide premium support to your customers and SLA reports travel by email every month? Your customer i.e., the product owner, has no access to the project status? We hear you, but cry no more! All dashboards have the option to create secure links to share your dashboards outside, without giving access to your instance. You can even set a password and revoke the access at any moment.
Being an enterprise customer doesn't mean complex gadgets with complex interfaces to tweak every single pixel. It means meaningful features and ready-to-go metrics and key indicators. That's why we keep on listening to your gadget requests. We are also working on the top features our enterprise customers are requesting: Advanced access permissions at user and group level, cache to improve performance in very large dashboards, audit logging, and more dashboard templates for different teams and roles.
While we are excited to offer Data Center versions of these apps to our enterprise customers, we know many larger organizations are also considering or have already made the move to Cloud. To support all our customers in their migration plans, we reviewed our existing pricing and the new Cloud pricing options recently released by Atlassian, and we've reduced prices for our Cloud customers with 500 or more users. You can see a breakdown of these changes for both our Confluence and Jira apps.
Don't forget to try for free Dashboard Hub for Jira or Dashboard Hub for Confluence and contact us if you want to see a live demo or have a feature request!
