Displaying a Field Based on Another Field Selection

I have a custom field say Tools and its a drop down with few options one of which is Others.

Now i want that if i select Tools->Others then automatically another field (free text) say "Tool-others Description" appears on the screen so that one can enter some text into this newly genertaed filed. This should work only for the drop down option Others under custom fiel Tools. I tried to read athe following link

but i was unable to get the results. Kindly based on my description tell me what the code should be or in the above link whose customk field id i put under target and so on.
