Why does the dependency line in Plans doesn't follow the mouse pointer ?

Hello community,

I've noticed that whenever I try to drag a dependency line in a plan, Jira only displays a horizontal gray line.

If I move my pointer around the line doesn't move - you can see it in the screenshot next to the purple bar

At first I thought it happens only when issues are grouped in a plan but it doesn't.

Does anyone else have this problem ?

Thanks for your help

Hi @Andrei Eleodor Sirbu

I tried this in multiple plans on multiple instances and I'm not able to duplicate this in any of them.

Do you have this in other plans or only in this plan?

Can you try an incognito window in your browser or another browser and is your browser up to date?

Hello Marc thank you for your answer,

Yes it does happen on other boards as well and I've been trying for ages to find out what was the difference between some plans where it works well and others where it behaves as explained above.

I've tried incognito and had the same problem.

I found out that plans who have a custom start and end date create this issue for me Annotation 2024-11-18 102136.png

Try to reproduce it on a plan with custom dates set and let me know.

Kind regards

Hi @Andrei Eleodor Sirbu

Yes, this I can replicate on my side as well.

This seems like a Bug.

I suggest to raise this at Atlassian Support, to have them check this as well an to confirm this as a bug.
