I'm currently trying a demo of Jira Service Management and am trying to setup a new schema in Assests. I'm able to create a schema, but when I try to create the first object (either by clicking the link in the "No object types are created yet, create some right away" or by clicking the + beside the schema tree) nothing happens.
I have Jira admin rights and have tried deleting and creating a new schema. This seems like it should be simple to setup, but am I missing something?
I probably should have worded my question better, but it's the Object Type that I'm unable to create. Unless there's another way to do it then the two methods I originally mentioned.
Hi @Andrew King,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
After you created the schema in Assets, did you also create an object type? The object type defines the attributes that you can set on an object and has to be created first before you can create the actual object.

Hi,
It's actually the Object Type that I'm trying to create. I'm assuming I should be able to do that with the methods I originally mentioned?

Yes, those at the two ways of creating the object type. If you click on Object schema > Configure and go to the Roles tab, do you have groups added to the role Object Schema Developers?
