👋 Hi friends! If you can't get enough Trello in your life, well neither can I. @Jimmy Seddon challenged me to an extended livestream about Trello as a fundraiser for Extra Life, so I'm going live for 12 hours on Dec 9th, starting at 4am CST to talk about Trello ALL. DAY. LONG. We will finally be able to answer the…

If you're part of a lucky group of testers, you might have already noticed this new feature in Trello, but even if you're not, 100% of folks have access to this new feature today! So get excited because it's all yours! What is it? Well it's two exciting things. View switcher New buttons that you can add to your board to…

I was recently asked if there was a way to be notified when a card has been inactive for a certain period of time, and although there's not necessarily a certain way out of the box, but you can confiugre it with a few Butler rules so I thought I'd share. First of all, use the Custom Fields power-up to create a date field…

I love Trello, and I've used it to improve a lot of workflows in my life and keep me organized. I love figuring out how to do more stuff with Trello, and helping others do the same! So I've compiled some of the best tips I've found into this simple generator. It's a simple site where you can click a button to get a new tip…

Since I'm speaking at JiraCon22 about how to go to Jira from Trello, I decided to have a little fun with it and make this TikTok. What do you think? 😂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVFXVUtsKAMAny else have any fun TikToks about Jira or Trello that you wanna share? I'd love to see some more! PS - If you want to come check…

I recently earned the 500 answers posted badge in the community!! I'm pretty thrilled with this accomplishment because that means, I've answered over 500 questions about Trello, in this community alone!! So to celebrate, I'm doing what I typically do for fun... answering more Trello questions! How? I'll be doing a live…

You know I'm the biggest Trello fan of them all... and I always will be. But my team at work is planning to adopt Jira, and I figured it's about time I started to dig in and learn what it's all about. So, I did it! I created a couple of projects in Jira to play around with it. One for managing my upcoming videos, and one…

Happy Monday!! So excited to kick off a series of videos I'm planning to launch that I'm calling "Trello shorts". They're quick, bite-sized Trello videos showing you how to do one thing at a time, rather than a long tutorial about how to build a whole system (don't worry, I'll still have plenty of those too). Some of the…

Status shows operational, but in case anyone else is experiencing issues, it seems there's some intermittent issues with saving data and loading Trello. I contacted the support team, so I assume they'll be on it, and generally you can keep track of the status here. Here's the behavior I'm seeing:…

I've noticed over the last couple days that anytime i open the Trello app, it says "we have some housekpeeing to do" and takes what feels like an eternity to load. (realistically, i think it's like maybe 30 seconds... but that's basically an eternity for the app world haha) Anyone else noticed this? Here's a screen…

You knew I'd find a way, didn't you? I was trying to think of something I could make with Trello this week, and honestly the thought of just coming up with a way to be more "productive" felt daunting as the world is falling apart around us. So instead, I decided to use Trello to help me when I'm feeling overwhelmed and…

I noticed the other day that on the desktop browser, you only have these options for sorting custom fields: Aka, only the date fields. But the same list, on mobile has sorting options for other custom fields, like numbers, and text fields. Any idea why? I assume this is operating as expected and it's just a difference…

A product marketer from Trello shared this with me and asked me to help spread the word! Trello's released a customer survey. Shouldn't take too long - i took it and it's mostly multiple choice options about how you use Trello for your team, why you chose it, and what features are most important to your team. Many of us…

If you have a lot of cards in your Trello boards (raises hand), it can be a bit overwhelming to keep track of all of them. And when you're in Trello, you can easily apply a filter to show cards that are due in the next day... but what happens when you're outside Trello? I built a PixieBrix extension that shows my Trello…

You've probably seen a thousand ads for Clickup - seems like they're everywhere. I'd been putting it off for a while, but finally took a look at it because the curiosity was killing me! After taking a look, I realized it's a really impressive tool and I see what all the fuss is about. But I actually don't think it's all…

Have you ever wanted to import a CSV to Trello and populate cards? There’s a couple of ways to do this, but the easiest way I’ve found is through the Crmble Power-Up (Crmble is free to use for now until the end of January). Although Crmble is meant to be a “CRM for Trello” (and it’s a fantastic one), even if you’re not…

Created this video showing how all my Trello workflows come together to help me throughout the day. Also mentioned my favorite integrations, power-ups, and automation! What do you think? Anything I'm missing? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKw83xOhcbI

If you've ever wondered about how to automate things in your Trello boards, this article is for you! And there's even a handy video if you'd prefer to watch instead of read! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8b3dyUAwBc What is Trello automation? Trello has built-in automation features (previously known as Butler) that help…

I really only need a one-way sync, so I'm hoping Butler would work for this, but I'm trying to create a rule so that when an attachment is added to a card, Butler finds the first card linked, and adds the attachment to that linked card. I got really close because I can find the attachment link and add that link as an…

I'm trying to make a trigger that says "when this label is added" OR "when this label is added", and I thought i'd seen a way to do that before but I'm not seeing it now. Anyone have any ideas, or know if this is even possible?

I'm going live again and building an RSS Feed Reader in Trello! An interesting post in Reddit prompted this, and it's reminded me that there's tragically not a fantastic way that I've found to keep track of blogs, newsletters, and podcasts I want to follow all in one place. (RIP Google Reader) But i think it's possible to…

In case you missed my livestream the other day as I built a meal planner in Trello, here's the final result! I built a meal planner that has some "auto generate a meal" stuff and some rules for creating a shopping list based off the approved "meals on deck", as well as option for swapping out meals. I was able to make one…
