Is it possible to link our Jira cloud to a vendor's jira datacenter to "share" issues without having to manually duplicate them?
Hi @Shaun McGuire If you just want to link the issues from cloud jira to vendor jira then you can create an application link between these two jira and you can link the issues between the apps
but you want to sync issues then you will need third party app like Exalate etc.
Hello @Shaun McGuire
I believe you would need to use a third party app for this.
This post form 2019 mentions one app

This post from 2017 mentions another app

You might find other apps by searching the Marketplace

You would, of course, have to get the owners of the other JIRA system to agree to they synchronization.
@Sagar Mahajan Can you point me in the direction of how to setup an application link? I want to keep this very simple if I can.
Hi @Shaun McGuire Sure, please follow the below steps to federate two Jira instances using application links
1. Navigate to the application link section in jira
https://jira-base-url/plugins/servlet/applinks/listApplicationLinks
2. Enter the full URL of another Jira application and follow the further steps to create a application.
3. Once the application link is created navigate to the Jira issue, select link from the drop down as shown in the screenshot.
4. In the link dialog box new section will be get added as server if two or more Jira instances are connected to each other, select the Jira instance from which you want to link the issues and select the appropriate link type and link the same
That's it.
Let me know if you have any question on this.
Hi @Shaun McGuire ,As @Sagar Mahajan mentions, you can use Exalate to accomplish this.
