Hello Everyone one
Just saying HELLO!
Hi. I just got started on the Atlassian ecosystem as Manager.
Hello and thank you for hanging out at the water cooler ( still looking for the vegan chocolate cooler section ) with the new girl! Merry Christmas everyone and Happy 2022`
What a beautiful Christmas Card! Merry Christmas all and happy happy 2022!
@Nicola Mustari Welcome! You will find many people here to help you in your Atlassian journey. I know I have.
Welcome @Nicola Mustari !
Hello and Thank you! And since this is coming a year later, merry Christmas and Happy 2023!
Hi! My name is Arantxa and I come from the SW development world. After being a Business Developer, Analyst, Product and Project Manager for many years in the aircraft industry, I started as a Project manager and Scrum Master in a small digital agency.
I had to learn Jira administration and I am here to ask any questions I may have and to answer the ones I can too :)
Welcome @Arantxa Blazquez
Welcome @Arantxa Blazquez !
Wow, what an experience you have!
Hi all,
i am self-employed trainer, consultant and coach supporting "Agile Transformations" of large enterprises. Been doing that for the past 20 years. My clients usually have some 50.000+ employees, but no Enterprise Agile Planning capability. Many have Jira core at team level and struggle to steer the company as a whole ("Business Agility").
My backgound is systems biology, complex adaptive systems, cybernetics, simulations, evolutionary strategies. I also offer Sustainability(UN SDGs) related consulting.
I love nature and life. Environmental protection and outdoor activities (trekking, climbing, ski) always had a part in my life.
Oh, and i co-organise meetup Agile Munich, where once we had the PO of Jira as speaker ;-)
Good afternoon!
Long time PM (15 years, PRINCE2 etc) and relatively long-time JIRA user (3 years) in Financial Services and Pensions working with Agile teams. First time I've dipped into the community here so hello one and all. Lots of involvement with Development teams and working with JIRA and Confluence and trying to improve processes so hopeful this can be a useful resource, though as ever time is the biggest barrier to involvement in 'non-work' things!
Fun fact: I have DJed at the Glastonbury Festival 3 times!
Welcome @guy.hornsby !!
Hi y'all, I'm Darryl, new here. :wave
I'm working as a Support Engineer at Atlassian and hope to learn and be able to help!
Fun fact about me is that I enjoy the warm and sweaty tropical weather and I moved from Taiwan to the Netherlands XDDD
But I love the vibes and incredible culture here.
Hello @Da
Welcome to Atlassian Community!!!
Hi everyone!
I'm new here (as the stamp next to my name says), and not only new in the community but also a new user of Atlassian tools (so probably will be asking some silly questions at the beginning, but better to ask than not right?)
I have been playing around a lot with confluence this last month (and loving it so far!) and a little bit less w/jira, but very curious about it ;-)
Glad to be here and looking forward to meeting people from the community in person or online.
Cheers from Toulouse, France
Hi there,
I'm not that new but switched from one to another account. Starting from scratch again.
I hope to find many inspiring articles, potential solutions and also share my thoughts and answers to problems which I already faced in the past.
Warm greetings from Łódź, Poland
Welcome to the community @Arek 😃
I am totaly new here with the desire to learn Jira and become functional in Agile project management. There are many other things to learn here, and I will add them to my list as I learn more.
Nice to be here!
Bob Lawson
Welcome @Bob Lawson !
I would recommend you start with the free course at Atlassian University to ramp up the product knowledge of Jira, when you begin with some hands-on and feel stuck with any features, it would be fairly easy to search on the Jira Documentation Site.
Hello! I am Z Blair and brand new to Confluence and Atlassian! I am part of a project team (between Atlassian & United Way of Greater Austin) to refresh some of our administrative websites. Previous life of 20+ years in Telecom/Network Engineering Ops before I pivoted to (medical/financial) Social Work in 2003, picking up some project mgmt experience along the way. My most recent pivot is to PreK Ops through United Way of Greater Austin beginning May of this year. I helped a transition between CRM products at a previous agency and it appears that I am heading to another round of CRM transition soon. I am excited about learning what Confluence has to offer and take advantage of learning more.
Cheers, Z Blair
Welcome to the Community @Z Blair !
Hello and welcome to the Community! :-)
Not new to the community but new to this group, hello all :)
Hello, I hope you´re enjoying the Community! :-)
Hi All,
I'm John, an IT Consultant in regional Queensland Australia.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-fox-aust/
I have expereince on Linux and Windows Server, Server hardware and networking.
Starting to log a lot of time working on Cisco, Ubuquti, Aruba, Sophos and Fortinet hardware.
I do helpdesk, Web Dev, Web Security, Linux Server admin and I'm an aspiring IBM Z systems admin and trying to learn skills to either be a developer or bridge the gap and help developer teams.
I mostly use GIT as that's been the trend for the last 5 to 10 years.
Out of necessity, I found myself using various scripting langurages for automation and troubleshooting problems. I'm a few years into working and understanding Cobol, Rexx, Assembler, PL1, DB2 and CICS.
I've spent a few years with TSO logins on Z LPARs and continue to spend time doing more training on Z, Redhat, Cisco and any area where there is a demand that begins to appear.
Welcome to the Community @John Fox !
Welcome, John!
In my effort to complete a Kudos Challenge, it turns out that I haven't yet visited the Welcome Center discussions. So even if I'm not a newbie to the Atlassian Community, here's my introduction:
I've been an Atlassian Consultant for about 3.5 years now and eager about continuous learning. Jira and Confluence permissions can cause me head aches ... ugh, still trying to figure them out after all this time ...
I've been an Atlassian Community Leader since May of this year and get my energy from helping people and answering questions.
I really enjoy the enthusiasm of the Atlassian Community members and the efforts they make on so many different levels and domains!
Nice to meet you, Dave!
Just started as a Technical Consultant with Atlassian Partner - Adaptavist.
I have been around Atlassian tools as a User, Admin, and internal advocate/trainer for more years than I bother remembering.
I am new to the Cloud and love seeing the next-gen direction.
If you care to see my desk, you can take a look at this post per my effort to earn my Welcome badge.

Hi All, I am extremely new to Jira. Got an opportunity to utilize some of its capabilities while working with one of the prestigious clients. Want to learn and explore more with all the wonderful people around and help the community whatever way I can.
Welcome, Ramsesh!
Sounds wonderful. Welcome, Ramsesh!
Hi everyone. I'm a senior software engineer in a team that uses Jira and Confluence to manage sprints and documentation. I also use SourceTree to manage my GitHub workflow. I came here to learn more about the Atlassian ecosystem and how best to use it. Hoping to give as much as I receive!
Hey everyone!
I'm the founder of a neurotech company, where we build the future of non-invasive (i.e. no surgery!) brain-computer interfaces. I come from a relatively traditional CS background, having specialized in neural engineering when I was already well versed in CS. When I was pursuing my BSc. in CS, I remember Jira being thought of exclusively as a bug tracker.
Beside my startup, I also split my time working for other neurotech organizations, as a day job, most recently for one which helps paralyzed people regain some of their autonomy by restoring their bodily functions. This company is growing at a rather impressive pace, and this is where I was first exposed to Jira as a tool of choice for agile software development, not just as a bug tracker. The fast pace both demonstrates the utility of Jira as well the challenges involved in efficiently deploying it.
In my own start-up, drawing inspiration from this, I've recently decided with my engineering team to migrate strictly engineering work to Jira, while keeping everything else on our beloved Asana. Thus, we hope to get the best of both worlds.
I can't wait to see all the brilliant ideas the diverse people on here have come up with, as well as sharing any insights we come across!
David from Neuralworks Technologies
