Friday nov 14th @ 12:02 pm MST working on a card and trello refreshes automatically, losing my card and now i'm forced to work with a new space. The format of the calendar removed all the subcategories and now all the items on the calendar look the same. I was able to glance at my screen from a distance and know where in the stage the job was at, now it all looks the same and I have to take time out of my day to stop and actually look at the list now, you cost me time with this update.
I have an update from the Trello team below:
In the past couple of years, a lot of Trello was rewritten to make it more efficient to maintain and make improvements. A lot of effort goes into each part of the rewrite, so we decided only to rewrite the Calendar View and not the Power-Up, with the goal of eventually consolidating the code for efficiency, and that's what's happening now. We've been monitoring the feedback and have already addressed some of the top complaints — for example, quick edit has been reinstated, and it's possible again to drag checklist items on the calendar. Most of the top remaining complaints are related to information being truncated — this is due to how the Calendar View is structured, but we're considering options for improving this. It won't be possible to address every complaint, but the goal is to cover all of the major ones and to eventually bring these improvements to the Calendar View as well.
if your goal was to improve efficiency with that update, well buddy, you failed on that task. The view of the calendar was more important than you think. the calendar view sorted jobs by due due perfectly!! It created sub categories and had a beautiful visual aspect of jobs up at the top were ready to go, under that production completed and under that projects done. Now it's just a bland pile of cards that all look alike.
not even worth my time to type more to this this as nothing will come of it.
