is there a way to have a limited view only?

I want to make my board public and view only but only to certain people. I don't want it out there for everyone only certain people but I don't want the certain people to be able to edit the cards.

Invite those certain people to your team, and make the board team visible, and disable the "Allow team members to edit and join" setting on the board (I think it's enabled by default).

Everyone on the team will be able to view the board, but only the members you invite to the board will be able to edit it.
