Hi,Is there a way to change the font style ?
and wondering if it's possible to change the font color , for example if you wanted to highlight a certain word in a card description could you change that word to a different color? Thanks
Hi Lorenzo,
You can use Markdown syntax to format your text. A guide on this can be found here.
Hope this helps,
Danny
Hi,
Thank you, but one more question sorry !
I see in the explanation that seems only this This text is _italic_
is used, how about the other txt format type and size please ?
or is this limited to what actually can be used ?
Is there any thought in the future to have the option to choose different type of Letter format ? Of course I mean like we would have it in a regular email ?
I hope I was clear, thank you so much for your time

Hi Lorenzo,
I believe this is all that is currently available. You can see what is in development for Trello and on the roadmap here.

Changing font styles and colors in card descriptions is a great way to eliminate visual bottlenecks in your workflow, since color coded text helps team members instantly prioritize critical information without having to read through entire card descriptions to find what matters most. Most platforms support basic markdown for bold and italic styling but for full color control you may need to check if the platform supports HTML inline styles or has a rich text editor option in its settings.

Font color coding in cards is genuinely one of the most underrated productivity tools for removing information bottlenecks in team workflows, imagine being able to instantly spot urgent deadlines or critical blockers highlighted in red without having to open and read every single card description during a busy sprint review. Pairing color coded text with consistent typography choices like using bold fonts for action items and italic text for notes or comments would create a complete visual language system that lets your entire team process card information at a glance, dramatically reducing the mental effort of switching context between multiple cards throughout the day.

Totally agree that text styling in card descriptions would be a game changer for visual clarity, right now the lack of font formatting options creates a real bottleneck in how quickly team members can scan and prioritize their workload especially on boards with dozens of active cards all displaying plain uniform text.

Beyond just color, having control over font weight and size in card descriptions would massively reduce the cognitive bottleneck of processing large amounts of plain text information, being able to bold key action items or make critical deadlines stand out visually would cut down the time teams spend parsing card content by a significant margin.
