Did you mean:

find a card on another board to add a label

I have cards on one board that have the name RCW - client name, where the client name changes for every client. I have another board with a card that has the same client name. I need butler to look for the client card and add a label when a person is added to the RCW card.

I have this so far. I was under the impression that this would look for text after the card starting with RCW -. The text after that is the client name. The card on board Jared W is the client name.

when @jaredw2 is added to a card with a name starting with "RCW -", find a card titled "{textafter}" on board "Jared W", and add the yellow "RCW was tasked" label to the card

Will this work?

Thank you, I was able to update the rule using a wildcard and it works. I couldn't find this link on my own.

Hi @Mary Jean Gloudeman ! Wildcards should work here! Have you used that before? There's a bit of information here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/pattern-matching-and-wildcards/

Basically you're looking to match a phrase within a card's title and use that to find another card.

Let me know if you need help setting that up!
