I have been using the email to comment on our boads for a while, and they have been working ok
When I changed a report from my "share email" to a new member's "share email" (so they would be able to edit, cut, delete etc.), the exact same daily report is now shown as code, and therefore it's not possible to easily see the information in it.
It wasn't great when turned into text by Trello but it was readable - now it's not.
I have no idea what the cause is, since it is the exact same report I just changed the email address it is sent to from someone+encoded-crap@boards.trello.com to someoneelse+encoded-crap@boards.trello.com
I cannot see anything in the personal or board settings that would explain.
I am an admin and they are a normal user. We are on standard so there aren't complex differences between users. This really shouldnt make that difference
I have tested manually forwarding an email to both these addresses and they appear fine.
I now have the same automated email setup to arrive to both and will see if there is a difference. There really shouldn't be :(
Anyone else encountered this?
So both emails arrived and were treated as code and the source of the html is shown, not the content of the email
It means that something has changed, either in the code Trello/AI uses for parsing these emails or in the encoding being sent. At first glance I cannot see a difference in the emails.
That feature is now useless :(
Hi Joelle,
If I understood your case correctly, you're using the Automation report, is that it?
If so, can you send me the report? You can obfuscate any personal information! I need to analyze the structure and the rule itself!

Hi Theodoro
I guess I was a bit unclear - I'm just having an email report with credit alerts sent to the trello card email which creates a comment from that email.
I have been using this feature successfully other places but this particular email seems to baffle the code that processes these.
It's got to be at the receiving end in Trello as the email has the same layout/shape every time but some days it gets shown as content and other days it's css and html code.
Not knowing what processes these incoming emails the variation is perhaps AI variability?
PS: this feature would be infinitely better if it had an option to cut out signatures and reply history...

Hi Joelle,
I'm going to create a ticket for you. I think it'll help expedite the solution for this problem.

Thanks - I think it is important for these email imports to be consistent and happy to help diagnose this
