email-to-board attaches the original email. Why?

Is there a way to stop the email-to-board function to attach the text of the original email as EML attachment? That new behaviour screws up the automatic cover creation for cards.

Back in the days I could send Emails with image attachments and the first image was taken automatically as the cards cover. Please restore this functionality.

Hi there! The EML attachment is unrelated to the card cover change. We stopped adding images from emails as card covers automatically due to a large amount of feedback expressing frustration with that feature. However, we understand that some users would prefer to have the card cover added automatically as it used to, and we're tracking interest in this here if you'd like to subscribe or vote on it: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-1238

I wonder what the frustration with that feature could have been?

How about adding a setting in the email-to-board popup to restore the old function (and leave it off as default)?

Same goes for the EML attachment :)
