I want to download my board along with attachments. The help article states that you just need to check the box to include attachments in the .zip file. However, I do not see that as an option. Am I missing something or is this an outdated help article?

Hi Vince, welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You’ll find the “Include raw attachments” checkbox when exporting all boards within a Workspace. To access this feature, a Premium subscription is required.

While exporting attachments from a single board isn’t possible, you might explore some third-party Power-Ups that could offer helpful solutions. You can find a variety of options here: https://trello.com/power-ups/
