double account same email

I have a login problem with Trello/Atlassian. I accidentally created a new account using the same email address as my old account. Now I can't log into my old account, because the system keeps connecting me to the new one instead.

I tried changing the email address on the new account, hoping that would free up the email for the old account — but now the system can't find the old account at all when I try to log in with that email.

I can confirm the old account still exists: from my new account (@runegrassov), I'm able to invite the username from my old account (@rumgrass) to a board. So the account is definitely still there, it's just inaccessible through normal login.

Has anyone else run into this, and if so, how did you fix it?

Thanks Vronik!

It seems though, that support these days is serviced only by AI and AI can't help me here. The things suggested doesn't work. It seems like my old account suddenly doesn't exist anymore.
