Just so we're on the same page, would you mind expanding on what you mean by "filter option in dashboards created"?

Were you looking to filter cards on boards (https://help.trello.com/article/787-filtering-search-cards-on-a-board)? 

Or, were you referring to filter options in Dashboard view (https://help.trello.com/article/1249-dashboard-view)? If so, that's not possible.
