Why is the link automation still broken in trello?

It's been over 4 or 5 years now when you decided to mess up the trello with automatic formatting of urls.

It's still messed up. Try yourself:

  1. Change your profile settings that do not show fancy link cards, just the most plain option "inline"
  2. Create card, edit description, add text, paste url from clipboard
  3. click the hovering remove link button. This is because you don't want the url to be a link but plain text
  4. Click save

Whoa, the url text got now automatically converted into "smart inlineb button".
No I don't want that, I want it to show as plain text in the card preview. How hard is it for you to understand ??

G'Day Jukka,

Thanks for taking the time to send us that bug report; it really helps us keep Trello at its best for everyone! Sorry for the impact on your work in the meantime though.

We were able to reproduce what you're seeing, and I’ve passed on the details of that bug to our development team.

You can use the code option to see the link as plain text without a hyperlink in the meantime!
