Why has a board which I was the only user on been closed and blocked me out?

My personal trello board says it has been closed and that I don't have access to it.

'You’re a member of this board, but only board admins are able to reopen it. Please contact support for assistance.'

I was the only user of the board so should have been an admin but now can't access my board.
